Plumbing Services We Offer Around Eland, W
Here is a quick look at what we do around Eland. Each service links to a page with more detail.
Plumbing Repair
Dripping faucet, leaking pipe, running toilet or weak water pressure? We find the cause first, then fix it. Our plumbing repair work covers leaks, valves, fixtures and frozen pipes. If you are not sure what is going on, describe what you see. We will help you sort out the next step.
Water Heater Installation and Repair
When the hot water runs out fast, turns lukewarm or leaks at the base, your water heater needs attention. We repair units that still have life left and install a new one when repair no longer makes sense. We explain both choices clearly.
Sump Pump Installation and Repair
A sump pump moves groundwater away from your home. It is not the same as a plumbing leak, and we help you tell the difference. If your home has a basement or crawl space that takes on water after rain or snowmelt, we install and repair sump pumps.
Well Pump Services
If your property has a private well, the pump, pressure tank and pressure switch all work as one system. We service well pumps and can help when pressure swings, faucets sputter or the pump turns on and off too often.
Water Softener Services
Hard water can leave white scales on fixtures, spots on glass and buildup in pipes. That is a different problem from low pressure, and we treat them separately. If your home has hard water, we can help you choose, install and service a water softener.
Septic Installation and Repair
If your property has an onsite wastewater system, we can help with both repair and new installation. Slow drains, odors and soggy spots in the yard are signs worth checking. We look at whether the trouble is in your plumbing lines or in the septic system.
Kitchen and Bathroom Plumbing
From a new faucet to a moved sink or shower, we handle the plumbing behind your kitchen and bath. That includes fixtures, supply lines, drain lines and worn valves. Tell us what you want changed, and we will explain the options in plain words. This service is covered in detail in the remodeling section below.
Remodeling and New Construction
Planning a remodel or a new build? We handle rough-in and finish plumbing, and we work alongside the other trades on your job. Bring us in early, before walls close up, so fixture locations fit the plan. Builders and homeowners can call to talk it through.
Commercial Plumbing
Business owners and property managers can call us for repairs, fixture and water heater work, and planned plumbing projects. We can schedule work around your business hours to limit disruption. Tell us about your building, what you need and when you are open. Scroll down to our commercial plumbing section for more details.
Common Plumbing Problems and What They Usually Point To
Most plumbing trouble gives you a clue first. Here is what common signs often mean, and what you can safely check.
Leaking Pipes and Fixtures
You may see drips, damp cabinets or a stained ceiling. These often point to a worn supply line, a failed valve or a loose drain joint. First, find the shutoff valve and turn it off. If water is spreading, or it is near outlets or other electrical items, stop and call a plumber.
Frozen Pipes in Winter
No water at one tap, or a pipe on a cold exterior wall or in an unheated space, may mean a frozen pipe. Keep the heat on and open the faucet slightly so water can move as it thaws. Never use an open flame. If a pipe has split, shut off the main valve and call a plumber.
Low Water Pressure
First, find out if one fixture is weak or the whole house is. One weak tap is often a clogged aerator, so clean it. Weak pressure at every tap may point to a valve problem or pipe condition. If your home has a well, the pump or pressure tank may be the cause. Do not blame the softener first.
A Running Toilet
A toilet that hisses or refills on its own usually has a worn flapper or a tired fill valve. Add a few drops of food coloring to the tank and watch the bowl without flushing. Color in the bowl means the flapper is leaking. It does not tell you whether the fill valve is also worn.
No Hot Water
Check the breaker or the pilot light first. If both are fine, the heater may be aging, or sediment may have built up in the tank. If you smell gas, leave the home and call the gas utility. Then call a plumber.
Water in the Basement
If your home has a basement, look for a pattern. Water that shows up after rain or a thaw often points to groundwater or a sump pump issue. A constant drip, even in dry weather, points to a plumbing leak. If the area is dry and safe, check that the sump pump is plugged in. If water is rising or is near the electrical panel, stay away and call a plumber.
Plumbing for Rural Properties, Wells and Septic Systems
Many Central Wisconsin properties use private systems, but not every property does. Here is what matters if yours does.
If Your Home Has a Private Well
A well system has three key parts. The pump moves the water, the pressure tank stores it, and the pressure switch tells the pump when to run. Sputtering faucets, pressure swings or a pump that turns on and off too often (short cycling) are signs to get it checked.
If Your Property Has a Septic System
Slow drains, odors and wet spots in the yard deserve a look. One slow drain often means a clog in that line. Many slow drains, or a soggy yard, may point to the septic system. Knowing which is which helps you pick the right fix.
Freezing, Spring Thaw and Groundwater
Wisconsin winters can freeze pipes in unheated spaces and along cold exterior walls. Keep heat on in those areas, and know where your main shutoff is. In spring, thaw and rain can raise groundwater, so test your sump pump before the thaw if you have one. These steps help, but they cannot promise a trouble-free season.
Kitchen, Bathroom, Remodeling and New Construction Plumbing
Whether you are a homeowner, a remodeler or a builder, planning plumbing early helps you avoid delays later.
Kitchen and Bathroom Plumbing
We handle fixture swaps, supply and drain lines, moving a sink or shower, and replacing worn valves. Tell us what you want to change, and we will look at the space and explain your options. When you are ready, call or email us to ask for an estimate.
Remodeling Plumbing
Bring us in early, before walls close up. We plan fixture locations and rough-in around your remodel schedule and work with other trades, so the plumbing fits the plan.
New Construction Plumbing
We do rough-in, finish work and inspections for new builds. Builders can call us to talk through a project, from first layout to final fixtures.
Commercial Plumbing in Eland, WI
Property managers and business owners can call us for repairs, fixture work, water heater work and planned plumbing projects. We can schedule work around your business hours to limit disruption. We can look at fixtures, supply lines, drains and water heaters, and explain what needs work now and what may wait. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Tell us what is happening, what kind of building it is, and when you are open.

Repair or Replace? What Affects Plumbing Costs
The right choice depends on what failed, how old the system is and what you want from it. Here is how we think it through.
When a Repair Makes Sense
A repair often makes sense when one part has failed, the equipment is fairly new, or the leak is in one spot. A new flapper, valve or fitting may solve it. A repair fixes the part that failed. It does not make an old tank or old pipes new again. If the rest of the system is in good shape, you may not need the bigger job.
When Replacement May Be Worth Consider
Replacement may be worth a look when a water heater is older, when you keep paying for repeat repairs, or when pipes are corroded. Corroded pipes can fail in more than one spot, so fixing a single leak may only delay the next one. These are signs a system is wearing out, not proof that it must be replaced. We will tell you what we see and let you decide.
How We Handle Estimates
We look at the problem first. Then we explain your options in plain words, including what each one will and will not fix. You approve the scope before any work starts. Before you call, it helps to note the symptoms, when they started, and the age of the equipment if you know it.
